Upon successful completion of the written exam and field (on tower) exercises you will receive certification of training as defined and required by OSHA in "Tower Climbing Safety & Rescue" "Authorized Climber / Rescuer". (100kW or less) This course will inform students as to what wind energy is, how it works and what it can do for you. Students in this course will learn the basics of wind energy. One day (8 hour) introduction to Inspecting fall protection equipment is designed for the worker who is responsible for buying, inspecting & placing out of service worn equipment, the climber who is responsible for their own equipment & life, for the newly trained competent person who may need more additional hands on inspection training. “Authorized Non-Climber/Rescuer” A two day course that coincides with "Authorized Climber/Rescuer" This course is developed for Non-climbers such as; ground workers, supervisors, and other tower site working personal that, in the line of their normal duties, would have no need to actually climb a tower, but would need to know what is, and what is not, safe tower practice and rescue procedures. “Competent Climber/Rescuer” $250 (Day 3 only) must have WIN212 or equivalent within 12 months prior A three day (24+hours) Course designed to exceed OSHA Standards for Competent Climber/Rescuer. This training course is designed for tower workers who oversee other workers on the towers. The training provides individuals with the required skills to safely distinguish evaluate and control hazards related to tower work. It also teaches students climbing techniques, proper selection of fall protection equipment and how to correctly rig a variety of rescue equipment for a range of possibilities and rescue a victim considering the probable injuries sustained. Certification Training - Seating limited to 12 Other Courses WIN102 Introduction to Large Scale Wind Development A 1 day (8+hours) course is designed for people who have an interest in Large scale Wind projects. Students will learn the basic steps to project development such as; Site selection, land agreements, wind assessment, interconnection, permitting, PPA, zoning, Etc. Curriculums are designed to meet the needs of those within the small wind industry and consist of interactive classroom sessions and hands on exercises to stimulate the learning process. Enrollment Policy Courses are open to all on a first-come first-served basis. Class size is limited to provide the highest quality educational experience for all participants. To reserve a seat, register over the phone at 231-768-4672 or online at our Training Schedule. Payment Policy 25% of the workshop tuition is due upon registration. Balance of the workshop fees is due 30 days prior to the workshop date. Failure to pay could result in the loss of participant’s reserved seat. Cancellation Policy Cancellation less than one month prior to workshop If a workshop participant cancels less than one month prior to a workshop, the participant forfeits 50% of the total tuition. Remaining tuition will be reimbursed to workshop registrant. Cancellation less than two weeks prior to workshop If a participant cancels less than two weeks prior to the start of a workshop, the participant forfeits 100% of the tuition.
